Kansas Electric handled all electrical needs for the Star Central Gas Pipeline installation

At Kansas Electric, we take pride in our attention to detail and commitment to quality. Our recent project with Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline (SSCGP) required us to meet their rigorous standards, and our team rose to the challenge with dedication.

We handled all electrical and instrumentation work according to SSCGP’s stringent requirements. This included precise trenching and installation work, covering excavation, backfilling, and compaction for electrical conduits and components. We ensured the correct installation of customer-provided equipment, including main line valves (MLVs), a flow control skid, a gas chromatograph (GC) building, and a filter/separator building.

Our team flawlessly executed instrumentation tubing installations and built field-mounted local control panels and power distribution support racks. We also installed site lighting to enhance visibility and safety, setting up four light pole bases and corresponding poles. Comprehensive site grounding and bonding were completed to ensure safety and efficiency.

Collaboration with SSCGP was crucial for the startup and commissioning activities, ensuring seamless integration and functionality of all systems. Our crew of five electricians worked six days a week for three consecutive weeks, often staying overnight out of town to meet the deadline. Their perseverance and professionalism were key to the project's success.
